Gender equality continues to be an important issue in our society. At A1 Telekom Austria Group, we not only want to draw attention to this topic, but also want to actively address it. For this reason, a plan for the advancement of women has been developed in Austria in order to define measures for equal opportunities. The purpose of these measures is to promote the opportunities for professional development of women and to improve the compatibility of work and family life. In addition, a women's network "Women matter" has been created. On this platform, women can exchange ideas and knowledge and support each other.

MAMFORCE

In February 2017, A1 Makedonija started with the implementation of the MAMFORCE method, an innovative method of assessment and business certification that unites corporate responsibility towards family and gender equality. The MAMFORCE method covers six main areas, which cover the most important policies and measures, and relate to communication with colleagues, work organization, flexibility, employee services, and the development of talent handling and management.

By implementing this method, equal importance is given to the policies and measures that the organization is already implementing, as well as to the opinion of the employees about their contribution to the operation of the company. The application of this method is a confirmation of the quality of the company and its commitment to gender equality and is part of a project of the European Union, which promotes equal opportunities for personal development and career, as well as care for the specific needs of employees. Involvement in this initiative is a confirmation that we strive to provide our employees with the best possible balance between work and private life, and at the same time we continue to develop the position of one of the best employers in Macedonia. A1 Makedonija proves once again that it is a responsible company, which takes maximum care of its employees and implements family-responsible and gender-aware policies in human resource management.

In 2019, as part of the awards for businesses and individuals from the Citizens' Association "CONNECT", the company received the award for achieved "Sustainable Development Goals 2019" for the project "MAMFORCE". This recognition confirmed the long-term contribution of A1 Makedonija, but also the commitment of all employees in achieving global goals for sustainable development, such as accessible and quality education for all, gender equality and care for the environment.

Women in Digital
WOMEN IN DIGITAL

Organized by A1 Makedonija, the first conference "Women in Digital" was held on March 8, 2018, whose main topic was the role and importance of digital technology in the development of society, as well as its contribution to equal participation of women and men in all social processes, including business. The conference was attended by more than 150 participants from various segments of society, including a number of successful and influential representatives of business, academia, civil society, media and institutions, which got acquainted with world trends in the development and use of digital technology.

The second conference was held on March 12, 2019, and the main topic of the event was "Digital transformation: Technical revolution or mindset evolution", which debated the impact of digitalization in everyday life, in terms of the psychological moment as a key factor in creating current and future carriers of digitalization and life in the digital society.
On April 8, 2021, the third conference "Women in Digital 2021" was held in an online format, organized by A1 Makedonija where the business community had the opportunity to hear all news and debate the latest trends in the development of artificial intelligence. Under the common title "Modeling the World with Artificial Intelligence", prominent professionals shared their knowledge and experience on the need for artificial intelligence and its development, the impact of artificial intelligence on businesses and the need to develop new work skills.
