Support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) Service
The VoLTE (Voice over LTE) service is transferring of voice services over a 4G network. Until now, 4G/LTE was used only for data services, while voice services were made available through 2G and 3G technologies. With VoLTE, voice remains in the same technology and when receiving a call, internet speeds will not be affected
By activating the VoLTE service, you will get as follows:
- Better quality sound and voice clarity during calls;
- Shorter time of call set up;
- Mobile data remains on 4G LTE and is not switched down to 3G upon making a call;
- Longer battery life.
How to activate
The VoLTE service is activated manually, directly in your device’s settings. Below are activation instructions for phone types that support this service:
Xiaomi
Go to Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks > SIM Card Settings > activate Use VoLTE.
Samsung
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > activate VoLTE calls.
Huawei
Go to Settings > Mobile Network > Mobile data > activate VoLTE calls.
ZTE & Alpha
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > activate Enable VOLTE call.
The service can be activated by all A1 postpaid mobile services customers having VoLTE enabled devices for the A1 Macedonia’s network.
To be enabled, devices need to have VoLTE functionality and to have the required software installed. The VoLTE features on each device is declared by its manufacturer, while the software required for each device is developed by the manufacturer and once available, customers can download it and update their device.
