Depending on the country you are traveling to, we have gold partners, which are mobile operators abroad through which you can make the most cost-effective calls while using their network, and silver partners, which are the other operators in those countries.
This is the number of the A1 SMS center. When you are abroad and send an SMS to any number, your bill will show the SMS center number for A1 users. The cost of the sent message is charged according to the defined roaming SMS rates of the roaming partner you are connected to.
If you are receiving calls while roaming, activate the special roaming option and get one price of 29 MKD for all incoming calls from Europe, regardless of the call duration, 29 MKD per minute for outgoing calls, and 29 MKD for call setup. You can activate this special roaming option by sending an SMS with the text START ROAM to 140777.
The offer is available to all A1 Postpaid users. Activation of the special roaming option is free and will remain active until you deactivate it.

For the most favorable call prices, activate one of the available call packages or options – A1 Roam Talk (available only for postpaid and business users).
Through the USSD Call service, you can call family and friends while roaming for only 55 MKD/minute.
To use the service, enter the number in the given format:
*123*3897XXXXXXX#
You will receive an SMS notification that the call is being set up. Shortly, your phone will ring, and your number will be displayed on the screen. Answer and wait until the recipient answers. Billing starts when both parties answer the call.
All traffic via Viber and FB Messenger is charged as internet data. If you use WiFi, it is free. If you use mobile internet, it is charged according to the roaming internet rates of the partner network you are connected to.
The USSD Call service allows you to make calls home while abroad. To use it, enter the code *123*, then the number you are calling with the correct prefix (e.g., 3897XXXXXXX), and finish with #.
Examples:
Mobile number: *123*38975XXXXXXX#
Mobile number: *123*38977XXXXXXX#
Landline in Skopje: *123*3892XXXXXXX#
After dialing, the call will disconnect, and you will receive a USSD notification that the call is being set up. A return call will come through, and you must answer and wait until the other party answers. The call is charged from the moment the connection is established. There is no monthly subscription. Prices apply only for operators supporting USSD calls.
When using roaming, incoming SMS messages are free, unless they are related to a paid service for incoming messages, which the provider charges regardless of your location.
Turn Airplane mode on and off, disable mobile data and roaming internet. Turn off your device, remove the SIM card, and turn it back on. Set network mode to 2G/3G/4G and manually search for the network.
